The Ficus benghalensis or better known as Ficus Audrey, is a gorgeous specimen tree well suited for those seeking a modern, minimal aesthetic plant. Only recently available in the US, Ficus Audrey is a bit easier to care for than its temperamental cousin, the Fiddle Leaf Fig aka Ficus Lyrata. Its velvety, ovate leaves have striking white veining against deep green. Eventually growing quite tall, Ficus Audrey has a handsome white trunk. Ficus benghalensis is native to India and pakistan, where it grows upwards of 100 ft. Here is a fun fact, it has the worlds largest canopy coverage. This plant makes a great addition to any home of office space, for yourself or as a gift.
- Ficus Audrey enjoys indirect bright light locations ideally, place your Audrey directly in an eastern facing window or a few feet removed from a southern or western facing window
- Before giving your plant a drink of water, it is best to check the moisture level in the soil first to ensure it isn’t moist right beneath the surface and add water as needed water moderately during the growing season, allowing the top layer of soil to dry out between watering in their rest period (winter), water lightly to prevent the plant from drying out but don’t overwater
- Pet warning according to the ASPCA this plant may be toxic to pets if ingested, plants increase humidity and reduce levels of certain pollutants, as well airborne dust, cat and majesty palm trees are perfectly safe for your pets
- Shipping to extreme cold weather states is also not recommended, each live plant will be slightly different, thus the plant you receive may vary from the photo representation
